Working in Teams

Working in teams is something a leader has to do every single day.  When we work in teams, we have to remember that every person is different than us and that we bring a unique perspective to the group but that our beliefs and actions are no more important than anyone else's.

To help model working in teams, I worked with Catherine, Angelica, and Katie on creating a schedule for the ALA April Play Day.  We came up with the schedule for the ultimate frisbee game, the bracket for the tournament, and the instructions for the teachers.  We worked extremely well together and there were no issues in the slightest.

I will remember the lessons I learned in making teamwork happen well when I am at college and when I am not working in teams that are comprised of people that I'm friends with - these times will definitely happen, and if I remember that my perspective is important but it must be kept in check, then I am confident that the work that I do in those teams will be great.
