Poem Video Analysis Paper
This project required students to choose a poem, complete a TP-CASTT analysis, create a video reflecting the meaning of the poem, and write a reflection on the creative decisions made in creating the video.  The paper attached is the reflection of thie project.

This project was one of only a handful of projects I have done that require analysis of a poem.  The ability to work outside your comfort zone, a skill that was refined in this project, is important as leadership is often an unpredictable practice.
The Once and Future King Essay

This essay was the formal assignment following completion of T.H. White's novel The Once and Future King.  As students read the novel, quotes that related to certain themes were chosen and explained.  For the essay, each student chose a theme and incorporated the quotes s/he had chosen into a paper.

This essay was one of the biggest assignments in English 2 Honors.  Writing a good essay required more than just a good understanding of the book; each student had to consistently track quotes in order to have a good finished product.  The experience of required persistence helped me not only write a good essay, but also allowed me to refine the skill of consistency in leadership.

Problem Research Paper
Freshman Year (Westfield)

For this paper, I had to choose a problem that meant something to me and write a research paper detailing and explaining the problem as well as two solutions.

This project required a lot of background work and it was difficult to balance keeping track of research and making sure all the formatting was correct while still striving to write a well-written paper.  The biggest challenge was only having two weeks, from start to finish, to complete the entire assignment. Through my first true research paper, I learned new formatting rules, how to do in-text citations, and how to cite research in a paper, and more broadly, how to manage time wisely.
