My Vision
I started Freshman year with the vision that I would be able to get through my Freshman year alive - I was wary of the "bigger kids" and the fact that I had never stepped foot in high school. Still, even in Freshman year I had a vision to get into my dream school (even if I didn't know what exactly that school was.) I had a vision of success.
My vision for the rest of the year looks a lot like my vision during Freshman year. I really want to get through it - frankly, I'm trying my best not to succomb to terminal senioritis. Still, my ultimate vision is the same: to graduate high school, be successful at Northwestern, and go to medical school.
In four years, I want to have done well on the MCAT and be seeing my acceptance letters to medical school. My vision, as far as I know, won't look too different from what it is today.
Dr. Ross's message for me was that I need to not just wait to "rev it up" until college; rather, it's important to get my vision straight during the last semester of college. As I said before, it's getting hard to care about school, so this message really resonated with me. I'm doing my best to "rev it up" and I hope I'll keep it up!

My artifact for this tab is Dr. Ross's speech.
