I am going to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Here are some facts about Northwestern:
Acceptance Rate: 10.7%
Median ACT: 33

Here are some of the things I did to get into college:
1. Community Service - I have over 200 hours of community service at the Boys and Girls Club of Darlington County as well as my own French class I taught to preschoolers in Hartsville, South Carolina
2. I got a 1560 on the SAT. 800 on the Reading section and 760 on the math section.
3. I got good grades. My GPA is a 3.93.

I learned some good tips from Amy Loy, a Freshman at the University of Tennessee, and Samantha McCall, a Freshman at Winthrop University. From Amy I learned:
1. Keep good time management.
2. Stay away from easy fixes like stimulant drugs and cheating
3. Get involved

From Samantha McCall I learned:
1. Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone
2. Don't be afraid to talk to your professors
3. If you find yourself with too much free time, get involved!
